XBMC Backup ok to use moving from Windows 7 to 8?
#1
Upgrading my HTPC and have chance to use Windows 8 instead of 7.

If I use XBMC Backup on current Windows 7 OCS, will this backup work when I restore on new Windows 8?

I'm not an expert, but it should work, since Windows system files are not involved in an XBMC backup. I'd make sure though that you initially install the same level of XBMC on the Windows 8 system as you have on Windows 7, e.g. Frodo 12.3, it may not be a problem, but I think it' safer. If it's an old version on Windows 7 you can always update the Windows 8 XBMC later.

Never used this addon, but I'd add that it might be wise to upload to Dropbox in case you need to do a clean install from Win7 to 8.
