Trying to determine if my NIC is going bad
#1
I have an odd setup at the house. I have my PC upstairs that holds all my media. The network runs through a powerline adapter to the basement. Once in the basement, it runs into a switch and then to my HTPC. In the past I haven't really had any issues. I have been seeing more buffering so i decided to pick up a faster powerline adapter. Now i'm beginning to think that it wasnt the problem to start with at all. Tonight while trying to watch a movie, it froze and stopped at like 10 times. I found this in the log file and i'm not sure if anyone can confirm anything other that it is a network error vs hardware problem related to the network. I did not see any messages in the /var/log/syslog file. Not sure where else i can look to see if the NIC is reporting any issues. My putty term windows do hang so i think the whole box appears to be on the way out.

I'm running XBMC 12.2 Git:32b1a5e (Compiled: May 2013)

I should probably mention that i also run a Xbox 360 on the same network with no issues. Also I have had a raspberry pi connected with no issues as well. This motherboard has shown issues with the PCI express slot as well
