ps3/ps4 view through xbmc/openelec?
#1
I have set up my system to nearly exactly how i want it now, I have a hp microserver n54l running Openelec, the last part of my setup that i would like to finish to make it all smooth and integrated is somehow being able to pass through the ps3 or ps4 signal so i can choose a channel or something within xbmc to display the output of the games console. I use tvheadend and hdhomerun device, I believe using one of these gamecap HD devices with pass thru could be used as a tuner for a PVR backend? Is this the only route that people could suggest? I also imagine it would have far too much delay to be playable?

If anyone has either done this successfully or have any ideas how it is possible i would be very grateful if you could share!

Thanks.

Hi Dec64,

This is exactly something that I am trying to achieve. Have you had any luck or came accross any resources regarding this topic? If so, please share. I would be very intersted in your solution.

My first instinct is to use tvheadend with a compatible tv stick?

Thanks
J
