It's actually a real place in Nottinghamshire! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-not...e-24760791

Dharma isn't a place, right? That name was chosen before I joined the Team, so I don't know if there was a story behind it.

Dharma was a mysterious scientific research group from the TV Show Lost.

I kind of like the way Haven sounds. Speaks to all the features XBMC allows over the other closed sourced alternatives.

Yeah, but I don't know if Lost was the reason "Dharma" was chosen. Either way, not a place, so I wouldn't get too hung up on places. If something sounds cool enough then it has a chance at being chosen by the Team.

Or a keyboard malfunction.

Based on previous names, I'd have to make Haven 2/1 fav.

If it was down to S and XBMC used double naming like Ubuntu releases, then Shaven Haven would be my fav, there's tons of list on several online websites that have all the mythological/ficticious places/people/characters/planets you name it (and not mixed lists either) with H known to man.

Not even fictional, yet there you have it.

Gotham actually means something like "goat home". It became an unofficial nickname of New York City, originally as an insult, but the locals turned it around and the meaning totally changed. When it came time to give Batman a town the creators didn't want to use a real place, but wanted something like New York, so thus "Gotham City" was born. Gotham has since (and even a little bit before Batman) become synonymous a gritty harsh city, a bit of lawlessness, and so on.

Ficticious history of the Gotham City, with images of its architecture and maps of its streets. Built on foundations of crime & concrete and given form by zealots...

Reality:: The village's name derives from Old English gat 'goat' and ham 'home', literally "homestead where goats are kept"

The point here is, name it XBMC Happiness (queu the pink unicorns and stuff), its also mythical and in some cases Fictitious, not that this is a serious thread, wont find any happiness Big Grin
