hello,
would it be possible to use the io-ports on the smartxx modchip to receive the ir-commands of a standard tv remote.
the advantage would be, that you don't need the ms-dongle and you can map more buttons.
its no problem to solder a cheap ir-receiver and attach it to the ports.
i tested a simple device on the parallel port of my pc, i was polling the port and received some data.
but i think polling in xbmc would be no good idea.
i'm not very good in programming and i don't know if it could be done, maybe with interrupts, threads?
what do you think about the idea would it be possible?
