I would like to get a tv tuner card and use the xbmc pvr. Now I'm on time warner cable. I currently have boxes and I realize I won't get all the channels I get with a box unless I get a tuner with cable card support. I hooked my cheap dynex tv straight to the wall and did a channel scan. I got around 115 channels with the locals in HD. My question is will I get all of those channels with any old tv tuner?

AFAIK you get the unencrypted channels with any tuner, and the scrambled channels if you use a CableCARD *and* your provider doesn't use the copy protection flags.
