when you do an imdb on a movie on imdb, and the movie is added to your local db, i think it keeps the info indexed by full path, since when you move the file around you would have to query the web again, so i figured it would be a good idea to index the files using their acutall content hash, rather than just name, so you could move the files around and still have their icon, or what ever!
