With universal App's being announced during BUILD 2014 for Windows 8.1, Windows Phone 8.1 and Xbox One.

It is now possible to write once and use on 3 different screens

VLC have already made a Windows 8.1 Metro App and said they will release a windows phone 8.1 App and are very interested in the Xbox One too!!

Now Plex has entered the party for Xbox One

Has the universal App platform for Windows, Phone & Xbox One got anyone at XBMC excited or interested in making a universal XBMC app?

Or is it way too much work to achieve at this stage?

I would just be curious to hear anyone's opinions about it thanks

PS: XBMC is still my favourite media centre (I just secretly wish it was on Xbox One so I could have one box for gaming, blu rays and video stream from my NAS)

PLEX is only a remote client APP (a UPNP browser and player) to their server, not the full blown Windows version of it which is their actual XBMC clone. AFAIK there are already some community driven XBMC Windows 8 browser/client apps around - those are the ones you could compare best to the PLEX app.
