Just noticed this is no longer in the cydia repo anymore after updating to gotham.

Is 'XBMC-IconPack' still needed? Is it safe to/should I uninstall it now?

You can remove it if you want. Technically it wasn't needed even for v12, since it was just used to show an icon in Cydia.
