Hi,

I'm looking to buy an Android mini PC that can run XBMC and play 1080p movies smoothly.
I tried Rockchip rk3188 but was very disappointed from the movie playback - even 720p movies playback was stuttering, low fps and skipped frames.

Anyone has an experience with other devices?

Go to http://freaktab.com and install a new/different firmware for your rockchips device. With the right firmware it shouldn't have such issues.

looking at around the $100-150 range

most of my media is only 720p for now but would like some flexibility, plus as i am in Australia hulu and netflix support is not really required.
