XBMC is a really great tool for managing and playing media, but recently my Frodo 12.3 started to freeze for 10 or 20 seconds:
1. When I access the main sources panel (My Music > Files)
2. at selecting System > File manager
3. after selecting add Source > Browse
4. after clicking "Get Thumb" for an album or artist in the library
Otherwise the XBMC runs smoothly! New artists or albums in the library open smoothly. Also once I am IN a certain source, the folders and subfolders there open smoothly (except in pt. 4, where I have to wait for opening of every new folder).
I have tried several things, but with no effect:
- deleting some or all of the *.db files in the User Data / Database
- deleting some or all of the.xml files in the User Data
The funny thing is that when I open the same things via the remote (I'm using Music Pump XBMC Remote), I can access them straight away, without the delay.
Any help would be most welcome!

you shouldnt post snippets of the log, post the full log via xbmclogs or pastebin. what happens when you disable the XBMB3C addon?

Dear helta, thanks for the quick reply. I have disabled the XBMB3C addon with no effect and then also uninstalled it, but the problem remains the same.

Let me describe the weirdness of it a bit more: when I go to Music > Files I need to wait 10-20s to get to the main sources list. When I enter one of them, I can quickly, without any delay, move from folder to folder within them and do any operations. If I then go to HOME and then select Music > Files again, I am immediately taken to the last folder which I can continue to browse without problems. But if I navigate to the top, I need to wait again for 10-20s to get to the main list of sources. There is the glitch.

But in pts. 2 & 4 above, the behaviour is different: there I have to wait 10-20s for opening any new folder within the source. This is actually quite nasty, since it makes tasks like adding a custom thumb or fanart practically impossible.

I would be grateful for any other hint.
