Or is the question when will xbmc be Kodi?

I'd like to install Kodi 14.0 “Helix” alpha2, but following the download link I still get the "old" HOW-TO:Install XBMC for Linux page.

Is it still using the team-xbmc repos, and am I still running `sudo apt-get install xbmc`, instead of `sudo apt-get install Kodi`?

The packages was not yet renamed - it's still called xbmc.
