-xbmc.setcontrolstatus(id,status) function: "status" parameter would be listview, thumbnails, bigthumbs.
-the ability to associate a radio button with skin.setbool(setting)
-the ability to call use skin.hastheme(theme) with references.xml for stuff like text colors. this would greatly enhance skin authors' ability to "theme" their skins.
