Req Supporting multiple albums per song
#1
I would love to have the option to support multiple albums per song.

For example, i have 3 albums with the same song but don't really want to have the file physically on my harddisk 3 times and have it in the database 3 times. It shouldn't be to hard to add an extra table which hold an idAlbum and idSong (many-to-many) instead of a One-To-Many from song to album.

Are there any other people out there who'd like something like this?

I disagree.

A normal music library hierarchy is this,

Artist --> Album --> Track

I don't want to have incomplete album in my library because I use my music library with things other than XBMC. It's not worth the couple of MB saved.

Use linux with a filesystem (btrfs) that supports copy-on-write (cow) Wink

I used to find this great when hard disc space war scarce and expensive. But now since disc space is no longer really an issue I no longer bother.
