Broken OpenWeatherMap Extended
(2015-11-08, 23:32)abba77 Wrote: ok, will try again. i see the city name but location id is showing 0. i did have a number there at one point, but didnt work then either.

there has to be a number, else the addon won't work for sure.
try re-adding your location in the addon settings (location setup).

Ok fixed it. I know i should figure out how to collect logs, but here is what i did this time.
As i mentioned, the search for city worked, but in the add on expert screen, location ID was 0.
So I went to http://openweathermap.org/ and searched for the city. Searching for st. johns canada, i got the url: http://openweathermap.org/city/6324733
Weather was on there but no ID, but then I assumed from the URL that 6324733 is the location ID. Putting that in, everything seems to work now.

I am having a similar problem to the last person. I recently updated to Kodi 15.2, and the MQ6 skin and installed the weather app. Unfortunately all the data is blank. My debug log is here: http://xbmclogs.com/pjguv2dtg. Hopefully I did it right. Thanks for all your work on this addon and I greatly appreciate your help.

this time, while creating to log, go to the weather window in kodi.

No problem at all. I really appreciate you taking time to try and help. I've pasted the new log here: http://xbmclogs.com/p9pycyjfz
I went to the weather addon and scrolled through the sections. All showed searching. Thanks again.

according to your log you haven't selected a weather addon in kodi.
go to 'settings > weather' and select openweathermap as your weather addon.

Just installed OpenWeatherMap Extended and it's not working for me.

All I see is 32F with a Yellow line and N/A

Also I tried to paste the copied log files into this message but it says it's to long. So How do I show you guys the log files?

in the weather addon settings, search for location 'Philadelphia', don't use the zipcode there.
searching by zipcode doesn't work properly.

Cool searching for Philadelphia instead of using Zip Code worked Smile

However may I ask where OpenWeatherMap Extended gets it's weather info from? Because it is reporting 45F while Accu weather and the weather channel are reporting 50F currently.Even yahoo weather from the web site is reporting 49F. So OpenWeatherMap Extended is like 5 degrees off from what the temp really is currently here in Phily.

How do you enable the logging in the add on settings I could not find that for some reason? The only logging setting I see are under the system debugging location.

But now that I got it working do you still want to see that anyway?
