Hi,

I have Windows Media Center (Win 7) running on a PC, and use a Raspberry Pi with XBMC and Server WMC to watch TV.

Things work well, apart from one some of the recording files from WMC seem to record with Audio description as stream two and other recording record it as stream one.

This is really annoying as when I play a recording its turned on and I have to swap to audio stream two to remove it, then at a later date, I have to swap back to stream one because its on again.

Any pointers of the issue. I don't want Audio Description on at all...

Do you have 'remux all recordings' set true? if so, turn it off.

Is that a setting in Windows Media Centre or XBMC?

I should add, that I also get this issue when playing the WTV files direct in XBMC rather than through the WMC PVR plugin (in the past before I used WMC PVR I simply mapped the Recorded TV folder as a videos source in XBMC).

Never mind then. If it happens with just straight wtv files you'll need to submit it as a bug to the xbmc team since it is a core playback issue. They'll want example files where the audio is switched between one file and the next.

Actually it might be interesting to run 'remux all recordings on playback' (see debug tab of swmc) and then set swmc to remux only one language (see LiveTV tab). And see if the audio still switches when you play these wtv files.

Where is the best place to upload samples - the ones I have a very large (I'll try to see if I can recreate the issue with smaller recordings)...

for reporting the problem to xbmc proper (which I think you should do since its a straight wtv playback issue), see this link:

Smaller wtv files that display the problem would be really helpful, but not necessary. It seems like it might be difficult to generate them since it sounds like a random problem.

Hi Krustyreturns - I'll upload the files now - but they are 2.6GB in total...

There are two files, the Simpsons which Audio description doesnt come on and Rivers with Simon Reeve, which has it on.

As I mentioned, to turn it off I change to the other audio stream in XBMC, but then I find that its on in other records and so I end up swapping again which turns it back on in the original recording.

I've not found a way to keep it turned off.
