audio not supported kodi dlna

kodi shows up as dlna server , i am accessing my video library from my plasma tv.

on some movies i keep getting audio not supported .

most of my movies are in RARs, some play without issue.

how do i fix this?

When playing via DLNA your tv has to decode the audio and video stream. You TV probably has limited audio codec support.

Check what your TV supports first. Then you may have to transcode your videos to that format.


Or just don't use DLNA...

Also worth noting that most TVs support different formats depending on if you're using DLNA or USB, so even if a file is perfectly playable from a USB thumbdrive its no garantuee that the very same file is playable over DLNA.
