Android box controlled with the official XBMC remote app
#1
Hi,
I would like to be able to listen to music from my library without need to turn on projector (i don't have a tv). Just directly from an android box to a receiver.
Do all xbmc android boxes support the app, or just some of them?
If not all, I give extra points for the one with a HDD bay. Let's say Hi Media Q10 II.

All XBMC/Kodi compatible hardware works with the remote app. Even the non-android ones.

I was confused, because I've found an information, the remote app can't handle boxee, so I assumed it won't work with all the cheap android boxes with customized versions of xbmc. I't hard to find that information on devices specifications and in the play store, too.

You are right and you can use this app on android phones easily.

Official remote should work with every XBMC machine, because the control mechanism is over a network protocol that all implementations of XBMC have built in.

However you'll probably like Yatse better.

How boxee got into this thread I do not know.
