Linux Helix - fresh OS or XBMCbuntu
#1
Howdy all -
I've got a legacy XBMCbuntu install that I just updated to Helix (that went relatively without issue save what appears to be some stale mirrors) - but it says I'm on ALPHA1 when (I believe) the current built is BETA4

Am I interpreting this correctly?

In general - am I better off with a base OS install and then laying down the beta, or is XBMCbuntu "good enough"?
Is there a "distro of choice" when it comes to running the betas?
While I am not a huge Ubuntu fan I'm no stranger, and have no issue loading a base OS.

TIA
