720p and 1080p don't need any deinterlacing at all, those are progressive.

I know but probably when you use XBMC some new settings from the XBMC are applied and the picture comes with different refresh rates. But at least I am happy as solved the problem.

I would never the less be interested in a Debug Log when playing such movies with the artifact lines.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Do you remember our testing of ADT-1 at devcon? We wanted to try sw decoding and deinterlacing but could not activate it. I looked into the code and noticed that ffmpeg deinterlacing is only activated for x86.
