Does anyone know if there's a way I can airplay my xbmc on ipad1 which runs Gotham 13.2 to my apple TV 3 so I can have it on a bigger screen

I don't believe the iPad 1 has that ability.

Was just wandering because when I watch the "showbox" app on it I get an airplay symbol which when I press it streams to my TV no problem, was hoping there's ways around streaming it without the need for any leads to plug in. I have used the vga cable in the past but it's very hit and miss whether my TV recognises it.

airplay video works with ipad1 - for streaming xbmc/kodi to the atv3 you need airplay mirroring which is not available on ipad1.
