I have a challenge in that my Windows 8.1 box only accepts the first time I press a button (ie. Up Up only issues 1 up command) if i press another command say down, then it will accept the up button 1 more time.
I have searched the Internet for hours, and the forums as well.
There doesn't seem to be any fix for this for windows 8.1. There used to be a tweak for windows XP media center that would allow you to turn off universal remote. I do not know if that solution will even work since that tweak program is not available for WinBlows 8.1
On a sidenote if you press and hold any button it will then repeat that button over and over so I know that the IR is transmitted correctly. I am not going through a conventional remote I am using a control system but I get the same result using an MCE remote. I have even tried draining the capacitors and that didn't fix the issue either.
Anyone have any suggestions?
