Autobooting is launching straight into a piece of software from a device starting up from a powered off state.
ie a PC autoboots into Windows

Your talking about just launching into an application after a device is already powered on.
The Wiki obviously needs correcting for correct english grammer, its confusing people.

Launching or starting Kodi or any other apps via those automation helpers will work.
They cannot be used to power up or boot a device from power off.

Warning: don't look at this link unless you have an iOS device:

looks very nice but no ios deviceConfused
just to be very clear that I am understanding you correct.
It means I have to physically power on the device (push the button) but after that it will autoboot to kodi.
This all can happen without the tv being switched on.
I can live with 'pushing the button' Smile
thanks again

Will be happy when I finally decidedTongue

Go it in one.

Push the power on button, boot the device and use those Automation helper apps to launch straight into XBMC without the TV being on.

This may be helpfull:
If your NAS is one of these compatibles you may like to install the Squeezebox server on it:
http://forums.logitech.com/t5/MySqueezeb...d-p/558652

Install the XBMC Music add-on XSqueeze which will then install a Squeezebox client.

You can then run this Android app:

Finally decided to buy the amazon fire tvSmile

One more question concerning a nas.
I can buy a second hand Readynas Duo (V1) with two 1TB WDC WD10EAVS-00D7B1 disks for 100USD.

Looks like a good deal to me.
Only thing I am concerned about is that the nas wont be powerfull enough?
2 users and the nas must share music, photo and movies.

thanks
