I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to speed up from watching a live channel to switching to the EPG. When I do that now it takes awhile for the EPG to pop up. I am currently running openElec and hardwired into my lan.

Run Openelec 4.97.3

If you have not done so already Overclock the RPi.

You need a 5V/2.0 Amp power supply to do this.

Everything will speed up nicely !

It depends on the number of channels on your epg, and the number of days. If you have a large number of channels, try to setup channel tags so you can group channels together. It`ll speed up your epg significantly. Also check your selected "Do not store the epg in database" under live tv settings.

I have it overclocked at 900/300/450 with over volt 2 and forced turbo. the menus are fine its the epg thats like 5 seconds from popping up. i have cut the channels down to 66 channels and only 1 day for the epg timeline. maybe thats just something i gotta live with.
