If the freezing if only happening on the fire, I think the trick is to turn off hardware acceleration in kodi on the fire (I think its settings>video>acceleration). See if that works. Happy new year to you too.

KrustyCrab and update here after a few hours of messing around with kodi and the server wmc I finally got it to play on my cpu... but as far as the firestick thru hdhomerun still no luck with the freezing and still get error no data for channel since im using hdhomerun would that make a difference?..... I added these lines into the config file one of these made it possible for me to watch online via cpu
<UseDLNAChannels_Kodi>true</UseDLNAChannels_Kodi>
<Timeout_WaitForTS_MS>20000</Timeout_WaitForTS_MS>
<Decoy_FixedDecoysPerLiveStream>0</Decoy_FixedDecoysPerLiveStream>

now while using kodi on my cpu I cant view channels like espn nfl network I get a weird sound and a blank screen which I took a pic of

any help would be appreciated and thanks once again

Since you are running dlna mode (which is fine since you have an hdhr prime) settings like Timeout_WaitForTS_MS and Decoy_FixedDecoysPerLiveStream don't do anything.

Running in dlna mode, serverwmc isn't really doing anything other than giving kodi a url to your tuner device. The screenshot you posted actually looks like what you get in kodi when you try to view a copy protected channel. Is it possible the problem channels are protected? If they are, only wmc will be able to view them, kodi cannot. The most foolproof way of testing this is to make a short recording on the channel then try to play back the wtv in kodi, if it doesn't play the same as the channel its likely copy protection.

On the fire, if you turned off hardware acceleration and it still has troubles then I am not sure what to do next. If you search this sub-forum though, there are threads where people discussed what they did to get Fire working, so I would start there.
