OK, so the title isnt the best descriptor!

When you link in a share within kodi, there is an xml type file that tells kodi about the sort of information within the share (TV, Movies, scraper type, etc - anything not set is based at default)

If theres no file, then nothing happens. - it would just make reconnecting shares/links etc that much more quicker/easier/predefined.


Im not sure if this isnt already present, but I couldnt find anything in relation to this.

Are you refering to f.e. sources.xml?

Well, you only need to tell Kodi about your sources (and passwords and settings etc.) once, you can copy those files afterwards, edit them (if you need to) and forward them to any new client (incl. addon settings...) and it will pick them up and you're ready to go...
