Hello guys, my first post here.

I've been using XBMC for couple of years now on PI, and I must say, you are doing a great job.

Now, PI is a little too slow for me so I decided to try a BOXEE BOX from D-LINK.

I've done numerous installs, some to internal memory some to usb stick. I tried either XMBC v13 or KODI v14. But, I always get same problems:

There are no add-on whatsoever (no list to install from). Once, but only once, i managed somehow to get the list of add-ons, but those wouldn't install.

If I choose a video folder with TV shows in it, everything works ok. But if I choose movies and choose moviedb as a scrapper, i always get error that remote server cannot be reached. I would try another scrapper but i cannot install it. I also cannot install skins or subtitle add-ons.

Now, I have PI to fallback to, but I would like to resolve these problems so i can use it also on boxee.

Can you point me in right direction?

Please post a log. Go to system info and check to make sure internet is connected. That's usually why addons wouldn't show up and why scanning says unable to connect to server

You might need to ask this over at the Boxeed-in forums ( http://boxeed.in ) as this might be something specific to their port of Kodi for Boxee Box.

I don't think that internet connection is problem because it does TV shows with no problems at all.

Entire log is like this. Same error all over again. Now, this looks like internet connection problem even to me, but i must say one more time that kodi DID update all the TV info. But no movies and add-ons.

I have 3 BoxeeBoxes with the hack installed as well as Gotham and don't have that issue. Haven't installed Helix as of yet but will be trying on one today.

Hey Frogy, are you doing a KODI install internally on the Boxee or running it from an external thumb drive? I have Boxee hacks on my Boxee, now i want to install Kodi and have enough add-ons to get the movies and TV shows.
