I have been struggling with very weird flashing when watching live and recorded TV in XBMC. The flash looks like a in inverse image of the frame. It only lasts a fraction of a second and only occurs 1 or 2 times per hour. I thoulg it was an XBMC issue, but recently noticed that I only see this happen with LiveTV and Recorded Shows. Could it be related to ServerWMC? if so, what kind of info would I need to collect to troubleshoot?

I have questions:

1) Do you see it with recorded shows that are not active. i.e. not actually recording when you view them? If so, then it is likely a problem with kodi and wtv (or your graphics card/tuner). Unless you have swmc set to remux all recordings (unlikely).

2) Is the problem reproducible, meaning that if you watch the recorded show again, do you see the problem at the same place everything? If the problem is reproducible, can you upload one of the wtvs that have it so I can take a look?

3)You have been using swmc for a long time right? Is this a new problem since switching to kodi?

Yeah. I have been using swmc for a long time and love it. I will try to come up with answers to your questions this weekend.

I started noticing the issue in October when I was still running Gotham Have tried a whole bunch of thins to try and resolve.
1. upgrade to Kodi
2. upgraded to Kodi beta (flashing issue)
3. downgraded video drivers

I ordered a replacement video card (Nvidia 740 to replace my radeon 7770) will be trying that this weekend.

A simple thing to try is to turn off hardware acceleration in kodi, have you tried that?
