I am about to take the plunge and build my first HTPC, I am planning on using KODI on top of windows.
my question is will KODI run on windows 10 seeing as it is free, I have no experience with Linux and I would like to play PC games on the unit as well, which I think counts out Linux, any help would be appreciated.

I don't think anyone has tried yet as I've not seen anything posted in the forum, and it hasn't been mentioned by any Team members, so I think you just volunteered to be the guinea pig

I tried once quickly on a laptop and worked allright. I have no physical computers running Windows 10 TP anymore. Also I would not put it on my HTPC. It is not production ready IMO.

Fired up Virtualbox and tried out Win 10 Tech Preview again.

Kodi 14.1 seems to work just like on every other OS. No hardcore testing as Virtualbox was not fast enough.
