WMC - XBMC - Wi Fi & PVR Add-on Issues

I don't the think the splitters could be causing the problem, but maybe you should describe what you mean by 'choppy'.

Yes - why don't you use the hdhr software to stream the channels directly (on either your laptop or zztop), is the video 'choppy' doing this?

I am not sure I understand using hDhR software. But homerun view is also choppy. I do not get sound on that viewer. I have only tried HDDR player on laptop because it has the GPU compatible with newest HDHR software. On main PC I have the older version of HDHR.

On the main PC is it considered streaming ? I guess it is because Prime is connected to the Router and not the PC.

On the main pc. When I use WMC, I see the following:

When picture plays good the LAN performance graph is straight at 13.5% When the Sttur/freeze happens the LAN graph spikes down to 1%.
The CPU usage spikes Up at the same time from 18% to very high.
RAM used is constant 1.87GB

I have made adjustments per SilidonDust Support forum to regarding Network Packet drop - made recefive buffer to 2048 and changed registry setting to ffffffff hexadecimal per this website.

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library...10%29.aspx

On main PC i even disabled symantic end point still this continues -

BTW if I connect cable directly to TV - programming is clear for QAM locals

I will try to shift the location of Prime to another room where the laptop is and see if i can connect it directly.

I . The hdjr software, the viewing choice is either media center or media player. It is choppy there too. .

Yeah, that's the hdhr software I was referring too, I think its called quickview, or something like that. If it is 'choppy' too, then you really have a very basic problem not related to swmc or wmc. Pursuing help from silicon dust is the right thing to do. When you get that working, then go to wmc, when that works go to swmc (a pain, I know)

And yes, watching video from your hdhr tumer on any computer I call 'streaming', sorry for being confusing.

You should tell the si-dust guys about the cpu spikes.

Btw, I don't get audio when I use quickview either - so that's not related to your choppy problem imo.
