All the standard genres are listed in the post above yours.
The next step is for someone to list all the variations...

In case no one wants to wait for an addon to come about, you can do this manually fairly easily.
First export the library to multiple files, then search inside the *.NFOs for the offending tag <Genre>SciFi</Genre>, then manually fix the ones you don't like with a txt editor like Notepad++. The upside is that they are now fixed forever. It will also make it easy to fix other things like "does not contain <plot>" or things missing <votes>. I recommend Agent Ransack as the search tool as any search tool made by Microsoft after XP can't be trusted to show you everything. Simply search for *.nfo containing NOT "<actor>".
Be warned that if you already have .NFOs (and jpgs) alongside your media that this will replace them, which wouldn't be so bad except Kodi doesn't export all fields from the library such as tags and sets into those .nfos.
Using a NUC7PJYHN and a 2820FYKH0 Intel NUC running LibreELEC, and two FireTVs.:)

You can also do a SQL replace on the videos.db manually. Its pretty easy to do.
We still need a list of variations though, anyone care to list them from their libraries?
