Hi All,
First off apologies - I'm new, keen but stupid...
I've bought an Android TV box from Amazon UK and it's being delivered tomorrow.
It's a RK3188 28nm Cortex-A9 Quad core box, 2GB RAM and 8GB internal.
I want to install KODI on it but am a bit 'fearful'..
Any pointers?
Thanks.

First thing is to find out if its proprietary to that make of box. If it is really XBMC/Kodi all you have to do is uninstall it.
Your box should have a app installer built in. So that would be the first thing I would check on ! Looking at your spec's on the box you will need Kodi 14.1 apk
If you down load it from here with windows browser it may show up as a zip file just change it to apk
If you use other browsers you should be ok.
Then move it to a thumb drive and use the app installer on Android

Thanks.
The box arrived yesterday and has Gotham pre-installed.
My next question is how do I get the box to see the files I have on my NAS wirelessly? Is there a native DLNA client or do I need to download one?

Read the wiki. It explains adding sources, etc. No DLNA client is needed. Gotham is the client.
