That is a question asked and answered several times on this thread. You may have to go back a few pages. I think there is a work around but I am not sure how well its working.

It worked out £175 inc shipping and customs + VAT for Expedited shipping.

You mentioned 24p was working though. I tend to be very noticeable of issues in video, but I haven't experienced 23.976 -> 24p yet so I can't say how much that would bother me. I have all motion processing turned off on my projector.

Just my personal opinion, but I think people tend to blow this out of proportion. I've found the frame skip every 42 seconds is really only noticeable if you're looking for them. Also, some devices (both playback and display) are better at smoothing out 23.976 display at 24 where you don't really notice it at all.

I'll probably give the Shield a try. Ultimately I may get three since the Razer Forge was a failure for live tv (via Google and HDHomerun app) and Netflix and I wanted two of those for casual viewing on other tvs. But the one I need for my theater should properly handle 23/24p. If I don't notice the conversion then I'm fine with it. I'm hopeful I won't, but on a 126" screen things are easier to see.

Regarding the frame skip every 42 seconds. Minix fixed the bug with a firmware update(005fw).
Nvidia can fix the bug, If enough customer report the bug. Hopefully Nvidia will listen.

Think that they only mean that Kodi is now available to install via Google Play, so that you don't have to sideload Kodi.

I don't think it means that Kodi comes preinstalled via the OTA or will come from factory on a clean/reset installation.
