I'll cut to the chase...
I have 4 ATV1 clients. 3 running Gotham and one I just upgraded to Kodi 15 (Isengard) as a test. The upgrade went well EXCEPT when I try to play live tv (HDHomeun tuner) I get the spinner and then it disappears. When I enable-disable the pvr client, I get the message "Recorded TV folder not found"

Googled this and it seems to be related to the user rights and credentials.

The strange part is the other 3 ATV's have no problems. This is a system that has been working well for 6 months or so.

The server version of ServerWMC is 1.0.0.52 build 1175.
The 3 ATV clients that are on Gotham are at 0.3.100
The ATV client that is on Isengard is on 0.4.003 (as shown on ServerWMC console). I think it did this upgrade automatically. The client says version 0.5.1. The numbering scheme is beyond me.

I can watch the Recorded TV->TempSWMC folder and see it create the .wtv file and then a second or so later it deletes it. So it seems that it can access this folder OK and the client-server communication is OK. When I try to play a recorded show, nothing happens even though I can see all the recordings. The EPG updates OK also.

First thought is: why did you skip Helix? It does look like the machine you've installed kodi15 on cannot access the recorded tv folder on your server, but I can't see why this would happen due to you running kodi15 either I also can't see any other problems in the log. Is the latest kodi15 nightly?

Skipped Helix as Isengard was reported here: http://forum.osmc.tv/showthread.php?tid=17266 to run even better than Helix. Of course, there is no discussion there on any problems with Live TV and SWMC. Figures.
It is weird as I can see it create the file in the Recorded TV folder and then a second later something fails on the client ATV and the file is then deleted.

For what its worth, the streams can play directly from the HDHomerun via DLNA and other vidoes and movies play fine from my NAS device. It SEEMS to be something in the PVR client.

The stream are being created by serverwmc in the recorded tv folder. As soon as the client reports that it can't open the streams it stops them and deletes them.

Well, I've downgraded the ATV client to 14.2 in the hopes of fixing this problem without success. Using the 0.3.008 client, I still can't get it to find the Recorded TV folder. the other tree ATV1 machines running 13.2 have no issues, only the 14.2 box. Something has changed as to how the PVR client communicates to the backend and shared Recorded TV folder. I have uninstalled and re-installed the client 3 times and I can see it load the EPG database, but then it pops up the "Can't find recorded TV folder" message". I have rebooted the backend server, reloaded the ServerWMC, etc. Help

Try using the ip address of your swmc machine in the shared path rather than the machine name (see folders tab). Yeah I know that doesn't explain it, but just try it anyway.

Didn't help. The 13.2 clients still connected and the 14.2 client didn't.

I am drawing a blank too, maybe @scarecrow420 will have an idea. Do you know for a fact it isn't something strange with this particular machine? In other words, if you downgrade to 13.2,like your other clients, does it work?

Can't say for a fact. It was working very reliably on 13.2. I would expect this to return on a downgrade. Problem started when I went to 15.0 and is still there at 14.2. The question is during the downgrade what files are really replaced? I'm waiting for the OSMC ATV installer to be available and I will try that when it becomes available.

Support for BCHD was dropped in Kodi v14.

Probably not a BCHD issue as many other h.264 sources play just fine. Even the HDHomerun app plays LiveTV OK. I don't like this as the Homerun app sucks for many other reasons.

Well, it took awhile but I think I tracked this down.

There is a file in the /home/atv/.kodi/userdata folder that is titled passwords.xml. It had an old password for the smb share for the Recorded TV share. I manually edited the file and uploaded it overwriting the old file and it seems to be working.

Strange that I had changed the password on the backend windows machine months before. Is this file maybe cached somewhere and something on the client forced a re-read of the old password file?
