This may not be the correct section for this, but I see a lot of people are knowledgeable about this stuff so I thought i'd ask.
Basically I'm trying to set up Hyperion/amblight to use a USB Grabber, I have a USB grabber that my machine picks up and see's fine. The setup has the N54l with HDMI out from some Radeon HD graphics card, that is put into a splitter 1x2, one signal goes off to the TV, one to the USB grabber easycap.
Now the issue is the easycap can see nothing from the n54l server. If i change the input to the ps4, the esaycap can see the picture fine, but only when NOT using the splitter...but the splitter 100% works as if i change the input to a Rpi2 with OSMC running, the whole setup works perfectly.
So is there an issue with HDMI outputs that I need to set up? Why would the ps4's hdmi be blocked using a splitter, and why will the server not push anything out?
Anyone has any ideas would be great.
running Kodi 14.2 on Kodibuntu, have turned off HDCP on ps4, have checked cables and used 3 different ones.
