Hi, is there a thread that outlines how to add a repos from a usb stick in the windows version of Kodi? I cannot seem to do it

I'm trying install the add on program addoninstaller

do not use that addon.
to install manually a repo, download it copy in the usb stick then from settings -->addons -->install from zip.
browse till the repo.zip. that's all

Many thanks for the info peppe_sr that have helped me greatly, is the add on I mention not very good? I'm new to the kodi system, where can I get the repos from and which are the best one to add? any advice greatly appreciated

all official addons are already in official kodi repo that is preinstalled . for the rest you have to be careful, the most addon use pirated content and aren't clean about strange code.
the addon you mentioned and what it carry are not supported here.
so before install something try to understand what are you going to use.
