Hi! Can anyone tell me how to get my "MXQ S805 Mini Android TV box" to boot directly to Kodi? I think OpenElec does just that, but it not available for my MQX box... Or if there is a OpenElec build for S805Huh Thanks in Advance.

PS: How do I find out what version of Linux I am running?

This forum is about kodi - not about some linux images, someone else provide via a download link.

Please ask the person that made this build for you.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Highly depends on the distro you are running ...

upstart, systemd, initd ... all possible solutions, without knowing your distro no idea.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

most probably a custom linux based rom, not a "real" distro.
