Hi,
I have a fireTV stick with Kodi 14.2 on it and so far the only video that requires conversion/re-encoding before it will play correctly is the 1080p 59.940 fps mts videos from my camcorder. These videos playback fine on my old WD TV Live Plus and two Windows 7 PCs so I know its not the video.
I've tried remuxing to mkv, mp4, m2ts and ts with no luck. Only way to get the audio and video in sync is to convert it to 29.970 fps with Handbrake or the software that comes with my camcorder. My GoPro video (also 59.940 fps) plays fine without any conversion. This GoPro footage is also a much higher bit rate than the mts video so I'm not sure what the issue is.
