Hi,

I have a Server(Windows 8.1) with a couple of shared folders and a MySQL database. My clients(Windows 8.1, Kodi 14) are connected to this server in 2 ways, they have the shared folders setup under videos and the MySQL database is used for data. This works great, all thumbs and fanart works fine and even the watched are correct.

When adding new videos and making a update of library it does not find anything new!?

I have set it to use local nfo files only(Using tinyMediaLibrary to generate meta). I tried clearing the MySQL database but dont set the local nfo files only at import, this did read the new videos in BUT the watched is WAY off.

This is how it is setup(its the same for all videos but Kodi have exported to all the others after tinyMediaManager generated meta) :

I notice today that new TV-series episodes are added properly so the problems seems only to be with the movies. The settings is set to local nfo files on both shares under videos in KODI.

I noticed that the scraper would not pick up movie.nfo but worked fine when I used the same name as the movie, like in your example "Interstellar.2014.1080p.BluRay.x264-DAA.nfo". Since I didn't have a lot of movies requiring an nfo file (most get scraped from online sources) I just renamed the movie.nfo's.

It might be a bug in Kodi. I read that some scraping problems were solved in later versions (14.2) so you might try to upgrade to the latest version and try again before renaming everything.

Since when did we use movie.nfo?

This is recommended to have .NFO files only where needed.
Create a text file with a text editor (e.g. notepad) with exactly the same name as the movie file (if all movies in one dir; in case each movie has its own folder, place the .nfo file there and the name does not matter). The extension has to be .nfo (e.g. Hellboy (2004) English.DTS.1080p.x264.nfo).

It's not a bug, have a look at wiki excerpt. I think you need to change the .nfo naming convention.

As already wrote on the ticket .. movie.nfo is supported for ages. It is used in case the "Movies are in separate folders that match the movie title" is checked in content settings.
