Not sure if this would be the best way to handle this but I am pretty satisfied with Kodi running on the Amazon FIreTV for Live TV except for interlaced content through ServerWMC. I am using experimental BOB interlacing but not really satisfied with the picture quality. Is forcing 1080i to stream as 1080p or 720p even a possibility or is this no really a good approach?

If you are asking if swmc can do the de-interlacing itself, that's not a possibility for the foreseeable future.

Thanks for responding. Yeah, I was basically thinking something along the lines of having ServerWMC pass the HDHomeRun stream URL through ffmpeg yadif de-interlacer for 1080i content and present that to Kodi or other clients.

Yeah, that would be a nice option, I would like to see it too. We get frequent requests to add transcoding this way.
