Video freezes/Stutters

Hello!
I have a similar problem, hope you can help me with.
I lived in Spain, had a raspberry pi -the old model- connected via LAN to the router and then to a WD MyCloud which stored all my movies and tv series:
Pi – router – WD (all by LAN). The streaming was by NFS. The ruter was the one provided by the cable company, so nothing fancy I asume, and it played fantastically.
I moved to the States, and suddenly the pi wouldn’t work with the same structure as before. Thinking it was damagaed over the trip, I bought the new pi 2, and the problema persists. The estructure is the same: Pi 2 – Router – WD. Again, all connected by LAN.
The router is Netgear N600 Docsis 3.0 (Comcast). I have played videos through NFS and Samba. I have the latest openelec 5.0.8.
NFS freezes completely and screws the whole raspberry pi2; I even had toreinstall everything several times.
Samba is a bit better but the video freezes/stutters from time to time.
I have disabled all the extra services: only have active SSH and Samba and Access by web to control the system through my pone: don’t even have the weather app.
Disabling upnp improved the system byt it’s not there yet, and it does not matter whether it is HD, SD, with or without subtitles, keep having the same results.
I also turned passthrough on, adjusted display rate to match video and turned off extract thumbnail & video inf.
Any ideas? Please be aware I am quite Linux illiterate, so please provide your dieas as if I was a 5 year old.
Thank you everyone for your support.

The most likely culprit is lack of power - presumably you're now using a different power supply in the US than you were using in Spain, is the one in the US less powerful? With the Pi2, you should be seeing a rainbow coloured square in the top right corner of the display if the Pi2 isn't getting enough juice (also, the red power light will blink on and off).

Try a different power supply, ideally one that supplies 2Amps or more. Avoid Apple chargers, they're not good power supplies. Also try different USB power cables, as some cheap & nasty cables can result in significant voltage drop.

Hello, I just solved the problem! It's fantastic how it ges now, almost as is playing from a USB.
I mixed a couple of things:
tried a new power source:

But t kept happening. I tried playing from the USB and it was perfect, so I thought something could be wrong somewhere between the router -- MyCloud connection, and I found this article which really helps:

And I also verified the port forwarding on the router/WD connection which somehow was giving problems:

I hope it helps! Thanks for your assistance. I love my Raspie!
