I am trying to get pvr.mythtv going on my fedora 21 box without success.

I used the following instructions: http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Install_Kod...n_packages which got me up and running without too much trouble but now cannot get pvr mythtv add-on to work, I get immediate crash when I try to enable live tv in system->settings->live tv

Installed kodi-pvr-mythtv (version 14.0) package to get pvr functionality

Confirmed that network settings were correct (no loopback address, security pin set to 0000, ipv6 set to ::1 ) ,

Can play local videos and youtube videos without incident but pvr will not turn on... kind of stumped.

Sometimes the mythtv addon binary that is in repositories is out of date or does not work.

This worked for me :

Use the latest build of kodi 14.1.

Download the pvr source from github (https://github.com/janbar/pvr.mythtv) branch doityourself. Build it using the instructions in the source file. Package into a zip file using the instructions. Install into kodi from the zip file.

Thanks! I updated kodi to 14.2, built pvr.mythtv branch doityourself. but I got the following error:

addon pvr.mythtv requires xbmc.codec version 1.0.1 which is not available.

Does that mean that I need a different version of kodi? An loder version of pvr.mythtv? What should I try next?
