Kodibuntu desktop

In the top left area of my desktop, no matter what page I am on, there is an active LOG/ MEM/CPU activity display superimposed over the Kodibuntu desktop.
It covers over some of the top menu items. Is this normal? Is there an option to turn it off?
I just finished downloading and installing from the Kodibuntu site. It is installed on a newly formatted HD.
Everything seems to work well.
But the graphics overlay is obscuring the top portion of the desktop.

Well...it would be strange, but in Kodi look at "system settings"->"system"->"debugging" and look if "debug logging" is enabled. If yes, then disable it and check if the overlay still persists.
