Kodi crash - memory leak?
#1
Hello,

I'm running OpenELEC 5.0.8 / Kodi 14.2 with DVBLink XBMC plugin v19.13 on Rasperry Pi. Only other extension I have is PleXBMC. Skin is Amber.
I have a strong feeling I'm suffering from a memory leak: system left unattended start behaving unstable in 1-2 days. Either there is a reload, or the system stalls.
I'm not sure what is to blame, but I'd really like someone from the developers looks at the attached logs and passes their judgement,
Attached are Kodi logs. In this specific case there were several reloads; one specific was at 22:37, immediately after I selected a TV channel from channel list.

This is what I was able to find in Kodi Journal:

Quote:May 05 22:37:45 OpenELEC1 systemd-journal[185]: Suppressed 3877 messages from /system.slice/kodi.service
May 05 22:37:45 OpenELEC1 sh[679]: Performing aggressive shutdown.
May 05 22:37:45 OpenELEC1 sh[679]: no talloc stackframe around, leaking memory
May 05 22:37:45 OpenELEC1 sh[679]: smbc_remove_usused_server: 0x73165d50 removed.
May 05 22:37:45 OpenELEC1 sh[679]: Context 0x7310ede8 successfully freed

The complete set of Kodi logs is located here

Thanks!

@jsntyyl See this bug report. Perhaps add to it as the bug report is sitting dormant.
The ASS leak occurs on all platforms, so is not a Pi specific problem.

Does this mean my problem is unrelated to this one? How can it be pursued?
