Linux [SOLVED] Stuttering video on Intel hardware

Okay. Thanks, this is a major issue, sadly.

As it seems the GPU is put into a "bad" state, after refreshrate was switched.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

One thing you could test:

Use DISPLAY=:0 /usr/lib/kodi/kodi-xrandr and switch to 23.976 hz while you are at the menus, then start the relevant movie, does this also lead to issues?

Edit:
Get the modes with: DISPLAY=:0 /usr/lib/kodi/kodi-xrandr -q
set the modes with: DISPLAY=:0 /usr/lib/kodi/kodi-xrandr --output HDMIX --mode 0xabc (change X and abc accordingly)

Ok,
changed playback settings back to:
Settings / Video Settings / Playback
Adjust display refresh rate: ON
Sync playback to display: OFF

Did the consolework via ssh seat, used mode 0xb8, thats 23,976 Hz
That's the same as in Settings / System / Video --> refresh rate?

Played my famous sample: paddg-0013-0023-loose-auto-2tracks.mkv, 23,976 Hz, 2x AC3, no DTS

Saw three issues, count from NOTICE: DVDPlayer: Opening:
+ 00:03 complete freeze for half a second
+ 00:57 fps went down to about 20
+ 01:54 fps went down to about 21

And I have a few:
WARNING: CRenderManager::WaitForBuffer - timeout waiting for buffer
inside the log

the log of today: http://paste.ubuntu.com/11186848/

Hmmm, saw some "buffer" records before, some issue with my harddisk?

When changing back the player settings to: adjust OFF and sync ON
it's playing fine (for now)

Keep it off and set the mode the movie would take manually, please.

Sorry, keep what OFF?
The log above was tracked with:
Adjust display refresh rate: ON
Sync playback to display: OFF

Keep adjust refreshrate off. But! Set the refreshrate the movie would be switching to, manually with kodi-xrandr.
