Minix z64a vs Matricom g-box q

Star
So I've been researching for about a week now and have decided to go with the (minix z64a or the matricom gbox q) . I am new to all of this but I'm a fast learner. I noticed a lot of reviews on this forum did not speak into detail about these boxes. Not sure if that's due to reliability or the fact that they are fairly new. Well I plan on buying one or the other within the next 24 hours...

What I'm looking for in the box for me is:

Android
Kodi/xbmc
Live TV capabilities
Browser
Ethernet input
descent video output
and the less tinkering the better aka meaning no flashing or updating every few weeks if I don't have too.

I believe I've found that in these 2 boxes.

Thanks in advance

If you prefer Kodi running on Linux, and as you mentioned Live TV capabilities take a look on WeTek Play. It have Plug & Play DVB Tuners, and is officially supported by OpenELEC.

When they release update with each new version of OpenELEC, you can simply upgrade it by sending .tar update file to Update folder and rebooting device. All your configuration will stay as it is.

I believe the Wetek Play is also dual boot - Android / OpenElec if I'm not mistaken.
No 4K though - but it is very well supported by the developers.

OpenElec updates for this device will come quick and fast due to Wetek becoming a OpenElec sponsor.

Yes, you are right, WeTek Play support OpenELEC in NAND Flash and also booting of OE from micro SD too, so Android can be always kept in NAND flash, as many people prefer to have it for Netflix and so on.

Official OE builds are located here:

Yeah, it does not support 4K nor HEVC.

Everything I've read about the MiniX Z64A and the Gbox Q seem to suggest that they are both excellent boxes.
