Youtube Addon - Live Events on Raspberry Pi
#1
Hi All,

Never posted on here before so a thousand apologies if this is in the wrong section - just let me know!

Trying to view a live event on my Raspberry Pi running Kodi on the YouTube addon (v5.1.3) but get the message

Playback Failed
One or more Items Failed to Play.
Check the log file for details

I can open the same live stream from Kodi on my windows laptop and I have tried several live streams on Raspberry Pi and they all give the same error message which makes me think the Youtube Addon cannot play live streams on the RaspberryPi?

Log file herewith- please let me know if any further info is required

Same old story Smile your ffmpeg version for KODI is missing something -> https

ffmpeg[A41E3440]: https protocol not found, recompile with openssl or gnutls enabled.

Secondly the addon script.module.watchhistory is throwing an exception.

You have to contact some dev. of KODI for RasPi. Also consider a update to 14.2

Are you using Raspbmc or OSMC? I believe OSMC works with https.

Thanks for your help guys! I had been toying with the idea of moving from Raspbmc to OSMC for a while so this settled it.

All moved across and live events run without issue!

Thanks again!
