Here is the issue with SPMC 16.2.1 and 16.2.0 after I updated my Shield to 3.1
SPMC 16.2.1/16.2.0
KODI 16.1 RC2
As you can see from the above pics, for some reasons, SPMC does not show the movie metadata information e.g 1080/H265/Dolby TRUEHD/7.1/16:9 and etc. While KODI (kodi-20160308-b881949-adddroidPT-armeabi-v7a.apk)

So, is 10bit output not a thing? Does the Shield do 10bit output at all or just decoding, then dithering to 8bit for output? I don't see any setting anywhere to enable 10bit output.

It will be 10-bit output when Shield's output is set to 10-bit 4K 50/60Hz.
If its the latter, then I can deal with it for now, since that would mean eventually when I upgrade to a UHD display and output UHD from the Shield, then everything will be 10bit just fine. (and frankly my current display is not actually 10bit, so its got to be converted to 8bit at some point anyway, I just like to know when things are not working as it seems they should.)

Maybe with OS 4.0 Update!?4K 10-bit output has been supported from release day itself. When connected to a supported display, Shield will output @ 4K 10-bit Rec. 2020 50/60Hz.
