I have serverwmc running as backend on a Win 7 machine.
I can watch live TV from another Win 7 machine running Kodi and the WMC PVR add on.
however when I try the same from an Android tablet (Nexus 7 WiFi) the live TV won't work
I can see the channel lis and EPG but when I select a channel nothing happens
I have PVR WMC Client ver 0.3.112 on Kodi 14.2
I'd be grateful for any clues

You need to enter the account login and password (see Folders tab) that serverwmc runs under in order to play live and rec tv from a non-windows client. Have you done that? If you have, then post the serverwmc log (see debug tab) after a failed attempt at viewing live tv.

I think I've set the Folders tab login to the same username and password as the account that serverwmc is running.
I can't find where to enter this user and password on the android kodi?

So.. I've started my Android Kodi and tried to watch live TV. When I select a channel I get "Working" in the bottom right corner followed by a few seconds of audio but no video, then nothing.

In the future, don't post logs on the forum, put the entire log on pastebin.com (or equivalent) and post a link to it here. Looking at what you posted though, it looks everything was working as far as serverwmc is concerned. Have you tried watching already recorded files on your android client?

So, I've just tried with a recording and no change.
The Android device starts to play the audio only which stops after a few seconds, No video.
The recording plays OK on a Win 7 laptop.

Its behaving like it can't play wtv at all, is this a standard kodi install? As an experiment, try adding the recorded tv folder to kodi on the android device and try to play the wtv files directly. Also, try turning off hardware acceleration for video on the android kodi. There also might be a clue as to what the problem is in the kodi log after a failed attempt.
