Im using a smart playlist to sort all my anime episodes. I have both seasons of gundam 00 in separate folders And initially it listed both as separate series with 25 episodes each. Now both series are being listed at 50 episodes.
I'm using the anidb scraper .
I've tried to use Clean up video option in system menu but it doesn't fix this
Any thoughts?
Edit:
This is happening to every series of anime and only those. Not happening with reg TV smart playlist

Are the series titled differently, or are they both just "Gundam 00" (as an example)?

series are titled differently on the directories and each episode has the full episode name in it. when i look at the loaded directory in kodi, it shows the proper episode count. it only shows up in the smart playlist as being doubled and only on the anime smart playlist. i compared my other smart playlists for tv and movies and they are not doubled. and the settings are identical except for the path for each
gundam 00 season 1
gundam 00 season 2

All those image links are dead. Please post details about your filesystem layout and the actual xsp xml.

People removing the "_dbase" files does more harm then good
because when trying to reach for your NAS in finder shows up nothing (no connection etc...)
What i did is left the online scrapers and did it with ViMediaManager
remove your library, add it again and let if scrape with LOCAL only.
Now all is working superb !

That's not correct. OS X able to handle those files being suddenly deleted. Further, OS X can be told to not create them in the first place. It should be mentioned in the
Mac FAQ (wiki).
However, it shouldn't even be required to delete those files as long as "show hidden files" is turned off in Kodi's settings.

I found the solution for your problem bud (maybe you also bought a box from media24store)
The thing is you need to uninstall your version of KODI and start from scratch, that did the trick for me !
Because it is a massive bug in a pre-installed kodi
